The Epic Travels Story
Our journey began on 20 June 2022, when Epic Travels was officially registered with UK Companies House.
We initially started by delivering school transport contracts with Kirklees Council, providing safe and reliable transport for vulnerable children. This work went extremely well and helped us build strong foundations based on trust, responsibility, and professionalism.
Alongside this, we began covering airport transfer work and quickly realised there was a major problem in the industry. Customers were paying far too much for airport journeys yet receiving poor, unprofessional service. When we spoke to people, the same complaints came up again and again:
Poor communication between the company and drivers
Last-minute cancellations and constant worry about being let down
Vehicles that were not clean or comfortable, especially on return journeys
No certainty about whether a driver would be waiting at the airport
No flight tracking or arrival notifications
Families left tired, stressed, and waiting with children, sometimes told the driver was “30 minutes away”
Passengers felt they had no choice but to accept this level of service and that simply didn’t sit right with us.
In January 2024, we decided to step in and raise the standard. We rebranded Epic Travels, refreshed our logo and website, and proudly added airport transfers as our specialism with one clear goal: to deliver the professional, stress-free airport transfer service people truly deserve.
